What is Google Pay?
Google Pay is a convenient and secure way for Google Android users to pay for products and services. By accepting Google Pay, you can make it easier for your customers who prefer Google Pay to purchase your products and services, which can lead to increased sales.

Does Google Pay support subscriptions and tokenization?
Unfortunately, Google Pay is not (yet) available for use with Subscriptions and Tokenization in WooCommerce. PayPal is working hard to get make this functionality available, and as soon as that happens we will be working with them to integrate it into our plugin as quickly as possible.
How do I enable Google Pay in my WooCommerce store?
To enable Google Pay on your WooCommerce store, you must be using the PayPal for WooCommerce plugin. Once you have the plugin installed and activated, you can enable Google Pay payments in the plugin’s settings.
How do my customers pay using Google Pay?
Customers on Android or Chrome will see the Google Pay button available to them on product pages, the cart page, and the checkout page.
By pushing the Google Pay button they will be presented with the standard Google Pay experience that they are familiar with, so they can complete their payment quickly and easily using their Google Pay digital wallet.
Where does the money go when somebody pays with Google Pay?
Payments made to you via Google Pay will go directly into your PayPal account the same as any other payment you process using PayPal. The funds will become part of your PayPal balance, and you can use those funds like any other.
Are there fees when processing payments with Google Pay?
Yes. The total fee for accepting Google Pay transactions with our PayPal for WooCommerce plugin is 2.69% + 49¢ (United States).
What countries are supported with Google Pay?
As of October, 2023, Google Pay is only available in the United States. PayPal is working hard to expand this functionality to as many countries as possible as quickly as possible, and we will provide updates here accordingly.
How can I use Google Pay to sell more products and services?
- Promote the fact that you accept Google Pay on your website and in your store.
- Make sure you have enabled Google Pay on product pages, the cart page, and the checkout page.
- Offer Google Pay for all of your products and services (where eligible.)
